The Incompetents

They waited in the wings,
Gnashing their teeth, ready
For confrontations they knew
Would have no consequences.
But still, these amateur
Henchmen, replacements for
The previous competents,
Wanted to prove their loyalty
To the new Supreme Being, and
Their aggression towards
Anything or anyone who might
Be foolish enough to stand
In his way. But if they
Expected obedience, they were
Disappointed.
