Burn

History confirms,
Despite always being written by the victors,
That the world has forever
Been like this.;
The slaughter of innocents,
The denial of the right to live,
The oppression of minorities and majorities,
The unarmed crushed by the armed,
The destruction of love for hate.

We burn,
The bonfires not of our making,
Flames in the night
Extinguishing life.
