Day 315

Today has been a nightmare. The first show out of my bedroom ended up being a hack round lots of different playout systems because my main one didn’t work (and I do know why). Actually very proud I managed to work round the problems and make it sound almost seamless, but that’s not the point. I like perfection.

I was going to build the new studio in the bedroom tonight, but didn’t finish work till 9ish, and out of energy, actually, so just dumped all the gear in gaps in shelves so at least we’ll be able to go to bed later.

I know I deliberately don’t write about work often, but just to say that to see my job reflected in the nightly news makes it all particularly relentless. For perspective, before covid, before the cost of living crisis, many of the issues I was dealing with on a daily basis weren’t headline news every day. Now they are.

On a final note, as I type this straight into my blog package via my phone, I had lots of great feedback and views on my Mastodon post yesterday from existing users of that platform. Interestingly, there is a very different attitude to CWs on different servers (instances) there. And that’s quite heartening, actually.

I’ve run out of time for Aggie, but she will be finished by the end of the year. Honest.
