Day 358

So, that’s it. Thanks to B’s and M’s suggestion of using gift bags, it only took me 30 minutes to do all my Christmas wrapping. That’s some improvement, and a lot less stress.

The sun is shining. I am preoccupied with thoughts of Christmasses past, and of friends I miss, and of all those having to work, and of all those who will not be in a warm and safe place at this time of year, or at any time of year. There is something wrong in the world, where people gather to celebrate love and express it with materiality, and there are literally billions of people who go without. I have, like last year, just made a, for me, significant donation to a local food bank. There should be no food banks, in truth. But the politicians in power don’t care, and it’s left up to ordinary people, like you and me, to pick up the slack left by policies of greed and selfishness.

I usually go offline at this time of year, but to keep my promise to myself of blogging every day this year, I’ll be writing a little bit every day over the holiday period, but just not a lot.

There is no more. I wish you all a peaceful, warm, and thoughtful Christmas. May your gods, your spirits, your guardian souls, watch over you at this time, and always.
