Ramifications

Rarely has the world had
A period of peace, because
Men always want fight wars
Intended to reinforce theire
Fearlessness
In the face of imagined threats,
Chase the demons of their extremism
And ignore the need for peace,
The hunger of peoples to live
In harmony and respect.
Over these millennia of fighting
None have ever stopped to think,
So death inhabits every doorway.
