Poetry

cosmos

end-of-summer webs woven

against the wall
and the cloud an ovary
across the moon
sways
the evening still
cool
breath standing
in the vacuum

life

as slow as life
and faster than light
the cosmos
we are

the cosmos we were

egg and seed
a creation miracle evolved
from the ovary cloud
the fractured moon
the spinning universe
and beyond

in the beginning
