There is nothing legendary about this era;
It is the detritus of made-up myths and ideologies,
The remnants of something only liars believe in,
Their faiths questionable at most,
And invented at best. It is the
End of days
Which allows the most ordinary things
To be described in this dull superlative
Which makes a mockery of the Greek
Stories which made children aspire
To change the world for the better for everyone.
