Day 339

quarter

this darkest quarter
the axis the wrong
orientation
out to kuiper
frozen star
interrupted

the blinds undone
a temptation of colours
the only light
where night was day
this time of season
singularity

rotate rotate
unholy cycle
the bulbous globe
ranges and fringes
stone fingers
point at sky

rage against thomas
and edmund and all
the powerless saints
unearthed philosophies
untouched atmospheres
unmeasured depths

this darkest quarter
subsides under weight
lessness of reason
if only it stopped
turning on a single
point of oblivion
