Dissent

There is a silence which envelops all things.
It is a beast of beauty, a forest of universes,
In balance, in harmony, perfect.
Fragile.

There are those who would disturb perfection.
They drop vitriol into the multiverse to draw
The darkness towards them as a cloak
Of power.

There are many who defend nature against
These dark forces. Their healing words are
Decried as dissent by the totalitarians
Of hate.

Silence cannot be defended by silence.
